After receiving the completed surveys, the BOL has prayerfully compiled this one page Senior Pastor Profile that will be used during the first level screening process of potential pastoral candidates.

New Day Christian Fellowship Senior Pastor Profile

New Day Christian Fellowship (NDCF) is a community of welcoming, caring, committed believers who desire to see their church grow spiritually and numerically. Situated close to downtown in a city that is becoming increasingly more diverse, our mission is to reach all people for Christ, enfold them into fellowship, prepare them to serve, and send them out to reach others. NDCF has consistently impacted others in our community through the ministry of Valley Christian School and Child Care for children in preschool - 8th grade. In addition, we participate in monthly projects that help local organizations such as the Auburn Food Bank, Auburn Clean Sweep, and World Relief. Members of NDCF also generously and enthusiastically support Free Methodist missions’ projects worldwide.  In keeping with our mission, therefore, we seek a pastor who prayerfully:

  • Exhibits character qualities of integrity, humility, honesty, emotional security, and maturity in faith.
  • Inspires with dynamic biblical preaching that nurtures the spiritual development of the congregation and points people to make a decision to accept Jesus and follow Him.

  • Shares their faith with others and effectively trains the congregation to also share their faith.
  • Connects with younger generations, families, and those of other cultures discipling and involving them in the life of the church.
  • Identifies and develops ministry leaders equipping them to serve.
  • Works with church leaders to create a vision that all the ministries can use to evaluate what they are doing and how they can improve for God's glory.
  • Promotes worship attendance and growth.
  • Innovates, demonstrating creativity in the development of worship services, ministry programs, and outreach events.
New Day Christian Fellowship is a member congregation of the Pacific Northwest Conference of the Free Methodist Church. While candidacy is not limited to those ordained in the Free Methodist Church, candidates must be willing to be in harmony with the Book of Discipline of the Free Methodist Church.
